Ken Hjulstrom

During my 25 years as a resident of MarlboroughI have always valued my time spent in service to our community. Now more than ever, we need individuals who recognize the need for government to “tighten its belt”, just as our citizens have been doing while struggling through these tough economic times. We must scrutinize our budgets and make the most of every dollar. We owe that toMarlborough’s families, seniors and business community and I pledge to conduct myself accordingly.

Work Experience: Two years of Retail Management, Twenty-Seven years as an Electrical Engineer with Combustion Engineering/Westinghouse Nuclear Power Systems of Windsor, Ct and seven years as a Real Estate Agent first with Prudential CT Realty and more recently with William Raveis Real Estate.

1. Five years on the Marlborough Board of Education (1998 – 2003)
2. Member of the Board of Directors for Florence Lord Senior Housing
3. Former member and Vice-President of the Marlborough PTO
4. Member of theMarlboroughRTC since 1998. Current Chairman and past Secretary.
5. Member of the Marlborough Lions Club since 2004 and including 6 years as the club’s Secretary.
6. Board of Assessment Appeals 2009 to Present.
